In my 30-year career as an Ohio Licensed Electrician and home service professional, I’ve discovered specific criteria that home owners demand of service companies.

But first, I’d like to mention my background. After growing up in Akron and Cleveland, I returned to The University of Akron majoring in electrical engineering. I worked at the Cleveland Electric Illuminating Company as a senior electrical tester and was promoted to represent the Illuminating Company in a newly formed company of 5 utilities called the Central Area Power Coordination Group (CAPCO).This strategic company was in charge of the power distribution of Eastlake’s Plant’s #5 650 mega watt generating unit.

So, what does this have to do with you, the home owner?  Glad you asked. Over the years in both the commercial and residential field, I’ve learned the defining importance and criteria needed for the success of a service company.

The one word that repeatedly comes to mind is “respect”.
